If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply need someone to talk to, you don’t have to go through it alone. I’m here to listen, support, and help you move toward a place of greater self-understanding and peace. I can offer you a safe, calm, homely space for one to one counselling, for you to talk about anything you are experiencing in life right now.

Hi, I'm Marcia, a fully qualified person-centred counsellor, based in Pembrokeshire. Person-centred is a non-directive approach which focuses on the client's ability to think in the here and now, and to create their own clarity and understanding of personal issues and problems. I offer a genuine and warm approach, and I am here to support and listen to you.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 20 years working in the NHS. During this time, I saw how many people were struggling quietly coping on the surface while feeling overwhelmed underneath. It's what led me to train as a counsellor. At the heart of my work is a simple belief, everyone deserves to feel heard, understood and supported.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I aim to make that process feel as safe and comfortable as possible.
Ethics, Safety & Professional Credentials
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), I work in accordance with their Ethical Framework, which guides my practice in maintaining professionalism, integrity, and the highest standards of care.
I hold an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check to ensure the highest standards of safety and trust in my practice. Additionally, I maintain comprehensive Public Liability Insurance. Like all therapists, I attend regular professional supervision, providing further reassurance and protection for my clients.
Qualifications
Sessions are £45.00. I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee sessions for those on lower incomes - please ask if this would be helpful.
Each session lasts 60 minutes and is completely focused on you - a safe space to talk, reflect, and explore whatever’s on your mind.
I work with a wide variety of presenting issues and situations, including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, grief and loss, trauma, stress, panic attacks, and more. I also provide support through the complex emotions that come with losing someone to dementia or the loss of a beloved pet. You set the pace and the focus.
As a fully trained EMBERS menopause-informed CBT professional, I offer dedicated support to women navigating the often overwhelming emotional and psychological impact of perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause.
With over 20 years of experience working in the NHS, I have a deep, first-hand understanding of the pressures and challenges that can come with demanding work environments. I recognise how workplace stress, burnout, bullying, unrealistic expectations and constant drive to keep going, can take a significant toll on your mental and emotional well-being.
I offer flexible counselling options to suit your lifestyle and comfort. You can choose the way that works best for you:

In counselling, you can talk about anything that feels important, difficult or confusing in your life. You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. Counselling is a space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace without judgment. Whether you have a specific issue in mind or just a general sense that something isn't right, counselling offers a supportive environment to better understand yourself, develop coping strategies, and work towards positive change.
